Chairman of the No. 66 Fish Port Complex Pravinchandra Deodat has told Stabroek Business that irresponsible harvesting has contributed to a reduction in catch by as much as 40 per cent over the past two years and that there was indeed a need for the Ministry of Agriculture to put even stronger measures in place to protect the fishing industry.
