Keep an eye on Demerara Waves in 2009

Demerara Waves has returned with great potential of becoming a pioneer in online news - broadcast and written content.

But, veteran broadcaster Mr. Dennis Chabrol and company will have to approach with vigor. Most interesting would be the attempt to stream audio content similar to radio. This will most likely push the administration to break their radio monopoly or in the worst case scenario, they might attempt to muzzle Mr. Chabrol.

Most Caribbean Islands, especially the eastern corridor, are being serviced by online media, bringing news much faster to citizens. There is a niche market for online media content, since a large section of the Guyanese Diaspora crave for information about occurrences back home.

  2. The waves look calm now, too calm. Wonder what is the next big story. Corbin had several sex partners in the party which he gave top positions, including Afucko Selman

  3. Mr. Chabrol was and continues to be a washup disgruntled WPA member, looking to push his agenda. Who are the other folks behind the Waves?

Mainly the exports of Pepper sauce and Furniture lost approx. US 55 and 5.5 mn, respectively. This severely affected growth in the domestic economy and thus, Construction and business expansion declined considerably."
